Bump stops

After a highway trip between Los Angeles and Bakersfield CA a couple of months ago I noticed that both of my bump stops were gone from the front end of my truck. Looking closer, there was a chunk of rubber remaining at the bottom of each bump stop cup and the rest gone. I looked because there are a couple of pretty good sized dips on the highway that made the front end bottom and the impact just felt wrong. Has anyone had this happen? Ended up installing Timbrens. Easy install and work just fine. They do sit higher than the stock bumps though.

I would be concerned it is time for new springs if th eold ones are gone. Granted they won't take a lot of abuse if you hit them constantly but hitting then in normal driving would concern me.

There is NO SUCH thing as normal driving in Southern California. All the roads are really bad and the California drivers are worse.
