Bumper air ride hitch

I've seen a company that sells a reciever type hitch that has an air bag on it to reduce the jarring motion on uneven pavement. Anyone tried it? Comments would be welcome.

The hitch is made be Kelderman. I priced one at Woodlawn RV center, I think in NJ. , and it was $764. 00 with 2 bags. Kelderman also makes one with 1 bag style in the center . The unit is probably my next project. I have got to get something to ease the ride on my fiver. I'm also looking at the Mor/ryde system for the trailer. $700 per axle. Wish I were a rich man. Ha!

Preston, thanks for the reply. Actually I just read an e-mail from a company called Easy Rider Air Ride Hitches. They sound very nice and thier receiver type hitch with one bag is $719. They also sell several other units for 5th wheels and goose necks. I'll look into the Keldermans also. I need to find a way to lessen the pogo motions between my truck and trailer. As I'm dropping the truck off at DTT on Wednesday for a full meal deal my wallet will be too light to swing for one of these hitches in the near future. Thanks again.

Just as an FYI, I know of 2 other companys that make that same type of hitch. Easy Rider Hitch and Air Ride Hitch.



Be aware though, cause Easy Rider Hitch was the original maker. Air Ride Hitch is illegally selling the product and does have a court order against them. Click Here to read about it.

The recent Camping World catalog has a 5th Wheel Pin Box Coupler made by TrailAir. Has an air bag/air spring. Cost is $1199 + $90 installation fee. You have to pay for the warranty. That's weird:--) Seems like they would provide a warranty of some kind for something so expensive.
