To just remove the bumper
All you need to do is take 6 Nuts off where the bumper bolts to the
mounting brackets. If you raise the hood you can see the 3 black
nuts on each side, 1 top, 2 bottom.
The bolts will stay in the bumper. Before I did that I took the 4 screws
out of the bumper ends at the wheelwell. After you take the 6 bumper
mtg. nuts off and before lifting the bumper off, shift it all the way to
one side which helps to slip the plastic wheelwell pieces out of the slots.
Shift it the other way and do the other side.
All this time the bumper will stay in place without anyone holding it as
the bolts are still in the holes, just the nuts removed.
You are now ready to remove the bumper, a one-man job to this point.
Then if you have to remove or add tow hooks you get into all that
intercooler stuff that has already been mentioned. But after the bumper
is removed it will be a lot easier to see what you are doing. Good luck.
