Uhh isn't the NTSB taking this whole Bumper impact thing a lil too seroiusly? Talk about a Ghost ride. What are they testing anyhow . . The wall , cab , or the Flag?

I think they should try that with Powerstrokes, maybe ten at a time. Or maybe a dump truck with a Powerstroke as its bumper.

My guess is that it was a barrier test. Barriers such as this are put up in front of buildings, etc to stop people from using vehicles to smash through and gain access. Stopped that truck cold! Looked like a successful test to me.

What caused the flame? I always thought that diesel (I am assuming it 'twas a diesel?) does not erupt like gasoline.

To me it looked like the truck was hardly doing 50 mph. Makes a guy wonder when you are used to pulling over 139k @ speeds 70-80 mph.
