Well, leaving work this morning, a Marine driving in the center lane (though she was well over 200 ft away from where she needed to turn) got t-boned by urs truely. I am attaching pics of what happened to me, I didnt get any of her. But lemme say that that sebring was DESTROYED, prolly a step below be totaled. Noone was hurt thank god. So am I wondering, should I go with the after market bumper I have been waiting for for the past couple months or should I just get the aftermarket and roll with it?

those damn leathernecks:-laf.

sorry to hear about it. glad no kids were involved. in my pics I have the bumper I made. there are alot of options out there and they are pricey. but I bet if you took the insurance money and run with it if you could you could get a aftermarket and be good.

Just got off the USS Nassau for a work up, will be contacting the insurance people and shop tomorrow for appraisal for repairs. Upon inspection today, the bumper bent some fins so here is my plan. If the shop is only gonna fix the bumper, I will try and take a check based off the appraisal and make one myself. But, if they are willing to fix the fins or get a whole new one, then I will take the shop and do that. Will inform tomorrow, thanks for all the input guys!!!

My pro-Zapp has been officially and unofficially used to push over small trees and it still has a smile. Oh, also shoved a not so small boulder last winta and still looks great. Yeah it was pricey but I have NO regrets!!

I vote for an ARB. That's what I did on my 01 when I tagged a tree. Very nice. Best price I found:

ARB Bull Bar bumper

I think a lot of the steel bumpers are too heavy. Aluminum is good bu pricely. ARB is steel but only about a 135lbs and plenty stout.

Unless I'm mistaken they don't make ARBs for the 2nd Gen trucks.

On previous trucks I had heavy duty aluminum bumpers a Herd and then two Denver Off Road bumpers. I really like the DOR bumpers. Just not in my budget at the moment. Like the light weight and strength of aluminum given the HEAVY cummins.
