Odd? spray-in bedliner Question

Who has the cowboy tires/wheels on their 3/4 ton

I've just about talked myself into a Buckstop bumper. I'd rather have a UTE but don't want to wait.

It seems to me that the front springs are marginal for a stock truck. A few weeks ago, I was driving down a rough ranch road and bottomed out the front springs several times. I can only guess how much worse it would be with a 235 lb. Buckstop on the front. From what I've read on TDR, it seems like most folks are happy with the Summit racing D25 front springs. Comments?

Did anyone figure out what shock is needed with the D25's? I would probably go with the Bilsteins.

Thanks,

Bob

I have the D25's with a 300+lb. bumper/winch and I like it alot. It used to bottom out easily, but now, even with the extra weight, it's much harder to do.

Just in case you don't know, the springs are made by Skyjacker and sold through Summit. That's where I bought mine.

I have the D25's with Bilsteins. GREAT RIDE!

The part numbers for the fronts are BE-6681-H5 with a 1 to 3 inch lift.

If I go to the Skyjacker site and do a search for Dodge 2500 Coil Springs, they show a D20 for a 2 inch lift and the D25 for a 2. 0 - 2. 5 inch lift.

Wouldn't the 2. 0 - 2. 5 inch springs raise the front just a little too much or does the D25 take into account the extra weight of the CTD where the D20 does not

I have been thinking about the Skyjacker springs for leveling and I do not want a nose high situation.

Can someone shed a little more light on this for me.

Kevin,

Didn't you get your set up as a full kit? Springs, dual shock mounts, shocks, etc. Where did you get yours?

Thanks for the Bilstein part nos. I assume these shocks would fit the 2003, 3/4 ton?

Bob

I didn't notice your sig - sorry.

I'm not sure those shocks will fit a 2003. I'd call Bilstein to confirm.

Big Daddy - I got my stuff from Jack it out of Utah. They will build you a kit to accommodate what your needs are. (as opposed to the one kit fits all approach). Call them - they are great to work with.

I got my Bilsteins, dual front shock kit, and springs from them. I also put the Dt trac bar on which I got from DT.
