After a recent deer hit I'm left looking at better options to protect my front end. I'm looking at some heavy duty bumpers, and want a winch mount as well as a heavy grill/ brush guard, the mounting of auxiliary lights like KC Daylighters would be a major plus as well, preferably set into the bumper instead of being exposed. I've posted a poll with what I've come up with so far, feel free to add comments and suggestions.

I've never really cared much for the Road Armor bumpers anyway, the style just isn't for me... But thanks for the heads up

just my two cents but I've owned 6 2nd gens 4X4's used to run pipe or channel replacement bumpers on them all, the last two I've just run the heavy grill guard and not the complete replacement bumper, my feelings are that the extra couple hundred pounds add significantly to a 2nd gen front end steering problems just like oversized tires, more rubber on the pavement and/or more weight on the front end equals more stress on the steering

that being said I sure miss the look of the replacement front and wrap around rear dually bumpers,

good luck with whatever you decide

Keep in mind that you may need to get a different bumper with your sport front end conversion. I have a Denver Off Road (DOR) aluminum bumper and love it. Pics in my old reader's rigs gallery.

I've been debating on keeping the sport front or not, I still have the old chrome grill that is in good shape off the truck, thought about putting it back on and mounting one of the old style ram's heads on the hood, think it might fit better with the flat bed and heavy bumper

Take a look at Reunel bumpers.

Here's some shots of mine set up on the new truck (no, i don't have the truck yet) it's got 2 holes and mounting tabs for PIAA 520's and 2-2" square reciever tubes for recovery points.

I had a Reunel Front and Rear bumper put on by them at their Maxwell, California plant. I am very satisfied with the products. I have not run into any deer, Elk or other road animals YET. . . But if I do, The truck will fare much better than it did on Dec 17, 2007.
