i've never had this before, even in my stoopid big jeep, but when i get off the beaten path with the truck and hit a hole it tries to pull the wheel outa my hand. ussualy in the direction of the hole. i had an alignment done last fall and realy haven't drivven the truck much since then. could this be related to the lack of power steering?

Lack of power steering would allow more of the force from hitting a hole to be felt at the steering wheel. Does the truck have a stabilizer on the tie rod? If so it may need replacing. bg
