Looking for fender flares for my '07 as coverage for future rust issues (I'm giving up trying to keep this thing rust free). I don't want the pocket style but rather the smooth OEM style.

Does anyone have feedback on Bushwacker OE Style or the OEM Powerwagon flares. They are basically the same price. I don't need to cover larger tires, just something to cover some rust bubbles so I don't have to stare at them all the time.

I have the PW Flares on mine and love them, perfect fit, perfect material quality.
And they cover the whole fender lip that is exposed to road debris.
When I fixed mine 6 years ago I Greased everything from the Fender that is covered by the flares - it is still rustfree today.
Grease is by far the best rust protection product for enclosed cavities.

Thanks for the reply. I do like the idea of the grease in there. Did you use just regular old fashioned heavy axle grease?

You can protect your investment pretty easy and fast that way, also it is a good way to Spray the whole Underbody every fall with FLUID FILM LIQUID A , that can be done with a plain spray gun within half an hour and lasts for a couple month.

Fluid Film is very popular over here because of that easy application.

That truck has been to Ziebart annually since it was new. I replaced the drivers side bedside at year 7 I believe (on Ziebart's dime) and now the passenger side is rusting through. Their warranty is only 10 years so this one will be on me. The rest of the truck is perfect. Just these darn bedsides.

I installed the Bushwacker flares on my 08 in Aug 0f 2017. I did spray the fenders with a silver rust proofing coating from Eastwood. I than installed the Bushwacker part number 50904. The cost at the time was $509.94 which included tax and shipping. I also have attached a picture of my truck with the flares around the fenders.

Excellent. Thank you for the picture.

Pulling this thread back up an update. Decided against buying flares at this point. That bedside is rotted to the point that there is no sense trying to cover it up. I'm jut going to drive it as is and put a new bedside on it in the spring. I just love living in the rust belt.

Ok, pulling this thread up again. Went ahead and picked up a set of OEM Powerwagon Flares. They came in today. Looking forward to the install next weekend.

My 05 truck came with the bushwackers that Jim W has, but I prefer the OE PW ones.

Just something clean looking about the way Dodge/Ram does their flares.

I agree. I'm actually pretty excited about them to tell you the truth. I had been watching them on Amazon for some time and they popped up last week on closeout for just over $300 for the set. They were running close to $500 for a long time so I jumped on the deal. Came in a Mopar box from a dealer in NY. Couldn't be happier.
