Any good ? Do they protect the rocker panels and the wheel well edges from rocks etc. stock tires tradesman. Which one do I want ? Thanks for any input

For stock sized tires on OE rims I would look at the OE fender flares and Mopar HD mud flaps. It's a great combo for all the back road driving I do.

I had my rockers and around the wheel wells Line X'd the first year. It has held up well and doesn't collect grit like fender flares do. They are a guaranteed rust trap in this area.

I had Bushwackers on my '15 and was not impressed. The rubber seal that's against the truck wouldn't stay in place which caused dirt and road crud to get in the cavity. I would go with the OEM if I needed some again.

The Line X was around $600 I think. It wasn't about cost for me, around here trucks crumble in under 10 years if they aren't protected. If corrosion wasn't such an issue I might of went with flares, I do like the look.

Bushwackes do look a little big for stock tires and rims I think they them a bit smaller for stock outfits. I like the look of flares too but here in Alaska we drive in snow gravel chemical etc. 7 months so the liner seems the way to go

This isn't a great picture but gives you an idea. If you zoom in you can see how it wraps down and runs along the rockers.
The white is remnants of wax. That stuff does not come off so well

They do have some choices in basic colors depending on what you are after. Make sure you get the premium, it has UV protectant where as the standard Line X does not.

I’ve never had good luck with stock mud flaps. Now, Duraflaps on the other hand, have treated me very well. And, if you mention you’re a TDR member, you get 10% off. Great people and a great product.

As for the flares, I’ve had Bushwackers on two trucks, both rusted badly under the flares. As mentioned above, the rubber seal does not do it’s job and lets debris in. On my ‘06, I did as JR did. I had it LineX’d around the wells, rockers and the bottom portion of the doors. There was not one bit of rust when I sold it after 200K miles of Midwest driving.

My Son’s Limited didn’t get the mounding box checked. He went with aftermarket and had them painted. They didn’t stick out as much as OE.
