My tailgate fell down when I was towing by 5th wheel and busted up the cargo door pretty good. The frame is OK, but the fiberglass is history. Anyone out there had any experience fixing something like this? Thanks -- Doug

Wow. No I haven't but there is a place in Reno that does fiberglass repair on boats, RV's, whatever. Maybe there's a place near you that offers the same service? There's also the option of replacing it with a factory piece, or rebuilding it yourself with different materials. Hope this helps.

On some trailers the cargo doors are a universal type, the size has to be the same. Kinda like buying a door for a house, you can get one with or without the jamb.

Ask a trailer supply store about the door replacement. Maybe a picture would help us out.

If the fiberglass replacement from the factory is too much. I'd order a couple sheets of aluminum diamond plate and screw them on. Then polish them to a brilliant shine so as to reflect headlights in tailgaters eyes, LOL
