looking at this gearbox on amazon. Has a quick turn ratio like the Borgeson I had on my old truck. My current box has side to side play, enough to be frustrating going down the interstate. Picked up a tractor last night and while driving decided I need to correct the problem. The front end is all tight and recently aligned by a reputable shop. Does anyone have any experience with this this gear?

When I was shopping for a new box for some reason Geno's didn't have the Borgeson available, it was shown in their catalog but not for my 99. I called them and was told they've had some issues with customers that purchased and they're not offering until Borgeson resolved. So I went with the PSC unit for $695!!! Ouch. This unit is much more robust than the stock and/or stock type rebuilt/new/upgraded units and it was a PIA to install, mainly because I don't have a lift and working on the ground with my POS shoulders made it hard on me. The hardest part was figuring out how to hold the 60# (I think, it was friggin heavy!) box in place, slide in the spacer between frame and box and then get a bolt thru. The need for spacers (3) is because the box is bigger than the stock one due to the 45mm bearing compared to the stock 32mm one. All in all I'm pleased with my purchase I just wish there were less turns lock to lock. I believe the new box has less turns lock to lock than the stock one but a little more "less turns" would be better.

Not sure what you mean by 6 bolt box? Guessing the number of bolts? Anyhow link is to the one I purchased.

Thanks for the responses. I got under it yesterday morning and discovered that the steering shaft was loose on the gearbox. Not much but detected play. Tightened the 1/2” bolt and it made a dramatic difference.
