I have bought Putco running boards from TRUCKADDONS.com back in the begining of september. i received them all banged up. went thru their process of returning. they received them oct 2 2004. i called and called and always got voice mail unless i threw a fit then i would get to talk to Pat their return guy. but he would say they were on their way . well i never received the running boards as of december 15 2004 . well i told them i had enough and to credit my account . well i have putco running boards from putco them selves now . but still dont have a credit from truck addons :mad: so just beware of a company who takes your money but leaves you hang on a return. http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/subpages/QMIfendertrim.asp

oh ye they never returned any phone calls or e-mails



now i feel better now kinda , still out some $$$$$

if you paid by c. card, then dispute it. If you bought online, without a signature, then they have to refund it. (so I've been told)
 
E7mack96 is right. If you paid with your CC, file a complaint with the card issuer. Generally, all major cards have a "satisfaction guaranteed" clause. They will credit your account then they will go after the vendor.



Use 'em. That's what your interest charges (or annual fee) pay for!

Ed I feel your Pain!

I had the same problem with truckaddons.com. It's the worst company I EVER did business with. I ordered some Westin step bars on July 15th and they sent me the regular cab version (i have a quadcab )so I returned them. 4 weeks later I get back the right set but they were damaged. I sent those back and I didn’t get the replacement until NOVEMBER 29th!!! They never return calls, lied to me when they did reply to emails and gave me extremely poor customer service over all. I called and asked for the President of the company and I got him. He was less help then the rest of the people I talk to there. When I asked for my money back he said, and I quote "We are not in business to give money back!" I kick myself in the ***** for using paypal to pay and letting them talk me into waiting longer then 30 days (the time limit to dispute a payment). I did get my part but it took over 4 months and my pregnant wife had trouble getting in and out of my rig because of their poor service and even worse business ethic.



I am sure people order things from them and get them as they should, but it's how a company handles the orders that go bad that makes them a good business. I did a little looking around the web and found they use to sell on ebay. here is a link to there feedback TRUCKADDONS EBAY FEEDBACK CHECK BOTH PAGES My recommendation is no one ever does business with these people.



If I can I always order from Genos Garage. Truckaddons should take a lesson from the gang over there!

Hey guys I have a banner ad on this site I can get all the add-ons bumpers steps misc. let me know if you ever need any of that stuff My new site I am working on will display all that stuff.

it seems from i have been reading is you pray you get your order undamaged or right your ok but for custmer service forget it. here is another thread i started and found a lot of unhappy people with them.

Oh yea, for got to add that Geno's is number 1 in customer service in my book (jmo) if i had a problem I recevied a new one before I had the old shiped back or a credit. guess i got to use to honest people and people who dont hide behind e-mails and voicemail.

i agree with that! , maybe someday they will and we wont have to worry about getting ripped off then.
 
Maybe a few hundred of us calling and forwardingn this thread to his company would straighten him out? I'd be pushing the issue with Visa/ Matercard to have his credit card merchant accounts revoked. They care about who they authorize to become merchants, that would put his online orders out of business quick! Nothing works more effectively than a large group of angry ticked off consumers blacklisting a crooked merchant.

So how about that unlisted #? most all the good businesses in our town have their owners # listed on their business cards. That is what I call accountability, they care if you're unhappy.

Spearding the word will work. Calling them is a waist of time. Like I said, I called and spoke with the President (who happens to be the owner) and he could care less. They just happen to be one of those companies who think that their cumstomers and idiots and treat us like fools. I learned my lesson now when I buy online it's always with AMEX. They let you dispute anything!
 
Ditto On Truckaddons! Ordered 4 Shocks For My Ram, Shipped 4 Front Shocks And After Much Bs And 2 Months Finally Got It Straightened Out. John.

Calling the vendor might not help if its one or two people, but when they start getting dozens of calls informing them of the thread posted here will. giving up and letting it slide is how these businesses expect you to act, then they do it to the next person. Break the cycle, report them to your credit card for selling faulty products. If anything else, it gets your dispute of the charges resolved.



You're right about AMEX, we use them to even buy groceries now. One of the best customer oriented cards I have seen. Just pay your balance off each month, don't let it ever go past a billing cycle.

I wanted to let everybody know i got a full refund on my plastic yesterday. but it might have helped that i sent a link to this to them guys at truckaddons. so thanks everybody for your input.
