If your 2004 is a 600, then you need a 60psi gauge. 325/600 2004. 5 Cummins produce 34psi stock. Any performance upgrade may go higher. With simple plug in box I can hit 39psi.
If I were to buy one again I would get the 0-60 one. I have an autometer 0-35 and i've maxed it out. I'll probably relpace it with a fuel pressure gauge and use the Attitude to tell me my boost. Anybody know how high the Attitude will read boost?
Be nice guys but anyone have a Di-Pricol 0-35 gauge I can trade my 0-60 gauge for? I dont plan on doing any mods in the next few years that will take me over 35, even when I tow my toybox I dont see any boost above 30 so the 0-35 will suit me fine.
:-laf I have an Edge Box and AFE intake system on my 03 quad 4X4. I have the 0-35 Westach combo Boost/EGT it's sweet very smooth and fast to react. I am told that any boost past 25 is a waste and causes increased EGT numbers due to decreased turbo efficiency. I had the boost elbow on for several months and did have high boost numbers 30 or above. I even had the air line pop off my gauge do to over boost. A wire tie fixed that problem for good. I now run without the elbow and max out at around 24lbs that's when the waste gate dumps. That is the preferred method of controlling boost and EGT's otherwise you control it with your accelerator and that means slower speeds and higher temps. I still have great performance and all is well. I guess to answer your question, 0-35lbs is fine unless you are going to put all sorts of upgrades and bomb the thing.
I believe on the 03/04's our turbos turn into a heater around 35 lbs... Our trucks will hit 24 stock. Running mine hard will be around 30 constant with a spike up to 34 or 35 lbs
