Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I am in the process of looking for a 2nd gen most likely a 2002... .
First off i am wanting to stay away from the "53" block... . By going with an 02 am i guarenteed that i won't end up with a "53" block?
Also i have read alot of threads and posts about California trucks... Are they good/bad? Should i stay away from buying one from California or does that apply to the 2nd gens?
I have also read alot of threads/posts about assembly orgin... U. S. or mexico... Does it matter? I have read Mexico assembly might be a better put together truck?
Other than that and having the VP pressure tested. Is there anything else i should look for, or stay away from or look into?
I have found a few trucks i like and have been CARFAX ing them... . This is going to be a long term truck and i need to make sure i get a good one, and thats why i am doing as MUCH homework as i can... . So any input from you diesel enthusiasts would be GREATLY apprieciated
