Ok this has happened twice to me. Once after dad drove the truck (which I know he didn't drive it hard), and tonight after I got home (in which I only goosed it once like at least 7+ miles from home).

Its a buzzing/humming type noise that is coming from the fuel tank area. The first time I heard it I freaked out! I thought it was my fuel pump going out and I figured I was in for some major $$$ from the stealer. Why I went to get my phone to call Greg (Cummnzpwr), dad unscrewed the fuel cap and it quit.

Well after shutting down the truck tonight and getting out and hearing that familiar noise I just unscrewed the cap and it quit immediately.

Now what is this?!?!? :confused: Hopefully nothing major. :{

Is your fuel vent line clogged? Mine was pinched off between the flatbed and tool boxes.

I don't know, I'll try and check tomorrow. It only does this occasionally. Its been a couple of months since the 1st time it happened. :confused:

Your fuel cap is supposed to vent pressure or vacuum, for some reason yours is noisy while doing it. I personally wouldn't worry about it but if it bothers you just replace the cap.
