bypass cruise control?

I have read somewhere here that it is possible to bypass the clock spring on my 1993 w250 to get the cruise control working again. can't find a on/off switch anywhere, this is the second time it has failed in two years. any help would be appreciated whether in locating a new on/off switch or guidance in bypassing clock spring altogether. thanks guys, maggiesman.

Yes, you can bypass the clock spring and make the cruise work. If you do you want to power the cruise through the brake light switch and then an on off switch. The other switches are momentary (normally open). I can't supply the diagram but I have done it before on older truck. bg
