Yes, I did it; What's the easiest way to drain the fuel tank?

I know some of you run these systems so I am thinking of a simular setup . I am thinking of going with the dual filter system that uses two of the bypass filters for 20 litre sumps and larger / can I get my supply from the filter housing , I noticed next to the turbo supply line a plug. . can I get my supply from there and put my return into one of the valve covers ... Yes I realize this is overkill ... Call it a WEAKNESS :p :p

In the top of where the stock oil filter goes there is a plug that you can tap into. And then return the oil into the side of the fillter tube or into the top of the filler cap. If I remember correctly HVAC returned the oil back into the valve cover on his 24v.

P. S. Great looking Trans Am. .

I used the tap oin the top of the oil filter next to the turbo supply line. I tapped the valve cover on the left side just behind the fill plug. I can check flow by looking through he fill plug. Seems to work just fine. Make sure any bipass you use has a restrictor to cut down the flow to a level acceptable to Cummins. (most do)

I will use the Amsoil system / It comes with a restrictor valve with that unit (20 litres plus)I hope that will be enough restriction

RHARVEY... . thanks for the compliment. . even though its a GM :D :D

I have the Amsoil BMK 11 kit and BE100 bypass filter(yep, only one bypass filter!) and have had excellent results so far, oil analysis came back within specs, it sure is nice not having to dump out 10qts of oil every couple months! I got my supply from the oil pressure sender, like they said in the instructions, didn't

even think of taking it from the oil filter mount, that would have been a hell of a lot easier, oh well, live and learn.

Merry Christmas,

Paul

Thanks for the input guys / RHARVEY... If we ever meet the answer is yes , the wife is just terrified of that car
