Well just wanted to know who out there is using a spin-on fuel head unit. and not using the OEM fuel filter... Is this due to making filter change quicker/easier. and a longer life span from a spin on filter..... any other reasons? I have a head unit for a spin on filter that will support my fass 150 pump. it sounds pretty straight forward I have my fuel pressure gauge tapped just prior to my vp-44. I currently have 3/8 ID. fuel hose... . Well any thoughts or suggestions on to do this or just stick to the stock unit let me know... Thanks... .

You can also buy them right from Cummins, can't find a pt # right off hand.

I run spin on filters on both my rigs, have not eliminated the factory housing though. Use it for my fuel heater when I wind up in cold temps.
