My friend needs the switch for the 4X4 light on the CAD unit on the front axle for his 96 4X4. Is there an aftermarket source for this or is it a dealer item only?
Did you unplug it and add a jumper wire between the 2 contacts and verify the light comes on? I had a bad wire, you may have a bad LED. I think the switch is under $20 for oem- I would stick with oem.
Not to hijack a thread but are you guys sure the switch is electrically bad? There's alot of resistance in these switches to drive the plunger fully in and set the contacts. IF the CAD motor were getting weaker it might slide the sleeve but not hold the yoke-rod end in tight enough to set the switch. That's been my experience and part of why I repiped the CAD vacuum and relocated the vent to exclude water aspiration!!
