If you order the spare tire with a C&C where does it mount, or does it? It looks like the big fuel tank sits where a spare tire would normally hang. If you opt for the small tank does the C&C then get the spare tire hanger in the normal spot? That 22 gallon tank is too small to be very practical, dual 22 gallon tanks would be a decent option to the one large one out back if you could get the spare out back then.

While the under bed spares are kind of a pain to wrestle in and out, it is so infrequent that the pain offsets the convenient storage location, just wondering how it all works with the C&C, as that is probably what I will buy when I replace my 2001. 5.

I have needed the spare once so far in 180K, but I would probably still be walking out of the last place without one, going without isn't an option for me. I ripped the side wall out on a rock in a remote area, an air compressor etc. wouldn't help in that case.

The spare is shipped bolted to the top of the frame rails, there is no mouting provision on the truck persay. You either have a mount integrated with your upfit body or you keep it loose somewhere either at home or in/on truck/trailer. I personally leave my spare in the shed and toss it in the trailer for long trips.

The rear tank delete is more for rollbacks that have the wheel lift hydraulics mounted up under there.
