So while I am waiting for the truck to fill up I will usually record my odometer, hourmeter, etc. While I am doing that I usually check for codes, both the powertrain and the instrument cluster. While doing this several weeks ago I came across a C-Code 41. Well, I forgot to look it up when I got home so tonight when I check them again, I still have it.

I looked it up in the service manual and it gives the description, 'Wiper switch input circuit open'. Does anyone have a clue what this is or where to begin to look for it. Everything seems to work fine but it is throwing the code for some reason.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi,

Same thing happen to me a while back. It was like February after an oil change. I know this isn't an answer to your question but I think there may be more people with C-Codes. It is my understanding that C-Codes are for Chassis problems. I don't think these C-Codes necesarily set the mil light. The other codes most people think of are P-Codes. The P-Codes are powertrain codes. My truck is still fine. The only thing I could think of was I had a lot of my dash and center panel, hvac controls, unplugged for the install of gauges and an xm radio. I was thinking of using my odbII tool to reset it but decided not to. I didn't want to reset key cycles.

Here is my original post:

I got a code as well. Same thing happen to me the other day after an oil change. I got a c-code 67 34. The 34 is apparently the engine starts since the code was set. The 34 is now like 47. I am trying to track down what the 67 is. In my post someone mentioned about a power lock wire low. I'm going to go through the service manual and try to find something. Everything is working on my truck and I have no mil. Then after the 67 34 it flashed a 00 00. I understand the C codes are Chassis codes. The P codes are p codes are powertrain codes. I found a C code list for GM but couldn't find one for Mopar. Some of the C-codes for GM are things like power steering angle sensor and such. No idea what the A4 or 67 are.

Thanks for the replies guys. I know what the code is. The service manual lists them out.

I was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on what exactly the wiper switch input circuit was. The only place in the service manual that lists that term directly is the code descriptions.

Thanks,

Jeff
