i removed the air nipple off the bottom of my gun & lost the little ball check valve. does anyone know where i can get one without having to send the whole thing out for "repair" when it's just a 15cent ball?

You might try a really well stocked hardware store they may have loose ball bearings. Also a bicycle shop may have a wheel bearing that will have the right size ball, then just cut it apart use one of them. An airtool repair shop will have them for sure, only thing is you'll need to go by there.
