I guess I wasn't specific enough. The plunger lift is different for the same timing settings.
For example for 14. 5 degrees BTDC, the CA plunger lift reading is 4. 52mm while it is 6. 1mm for the other 49 states. Is the P7100 injector pump different for CA?
You have to match up your CPL number with the charts to get it right. The lift vs timing varies from year to year also. I had to wait eight months after I ordered my '95 before it was delivered. All tied up in getting past the emissions requirements. My CPL is 1968.
I have a friend who, sadly, purchased a 1997 Dually that's a California-spec truck. He has a BD plate installed, but with that stupid exhaust manifold and the puney delivery valves and plungers, what else can he do with it?
I have a chart that I got off Fritz's Ram Tech page but it only goes up to 14. 5 degrees BTDC for CA CPL's. After that it just lists N/A. My problem is that I recently have done a lot of mods (on top of the Banks Stinger+ system I did about 3 years ago). I have been talking with Ted Jannetty who recommended I set timing to 15. 5 degrees BTDC for the 370hp injectors I've installed. I don't know if he knows that the CA pumps are different. I've ordered the SPX Miller timing kit because I can't find anyone around here to adjust the timing to 15. 5 BTDC.
