Eeeeek! Pine sap on paint!

How much more torque with the 275s?

I guess I wasn't specific enough. The plunger lift is different for the same timing settings.

For example for 14. 5 degrees BTDC, the CA plunger lift reading is 4. 52mm while it is 6. 1mm for the other 49 states. Is the P7100 injector pump different for CA?

I don't get it??

From what your saying the cam profile must be different.

In gasser terms... your cam (in the P7100) either has less duration or less overall lift.

Not sure which but if your setting are correct (4. 52 and 6. 1) one of these must be true.

You must be right SLang. But that's somewhat dissappointing for CA Truck owners that want to make adjustments. :(

It seems as though Bombing our trucks would be more difficult if ours trucks are set up differently from the factory.

You have to match up your CPL number with the charts to get it right. The lift vs timing varies from year to year also. I had to wait eight months after I ordered my '95 before it was delivered. All tied up in getting past the emissions requirements. My CPL is 1968.

I have a friend who, sadly, purchased a 1997 Dually that's a California-spec truck. He has a BD plate installed, but with that stupid exhaust manifold and the puney delivery valves and plungers, what else can he do with it?

Makes me wonder how members like my6eatsv8s beef up their trucks. Are they not California trucks? Maybe he'll reply and shed some light. :)

I have a chart that I got off Fritz's Ram Tech page but it only goes up to 14. 5 degrees BTDC for CA CPL's. After that it just lists N/A. My problem is that I recently have done a lot of mods (on top of the Banks Stinger+ system I did about 3 years ago). I have been talking with Ted Jannetty who recommended I set timing to 15. 5 degrees BTDC for the 370hp injectors I've installed. I don't know if he knows that the CA pumps are different. I've ordered the SPX Miller timing kit because I can't find anyone around here to adjust the timing to 15. 5 BTDC.
