Cab & Chassis Pto

Howdy,



Anyone use the PTO option on their Chassis Cab ?



BOSS & VAN AIR ..... make bolt up units...compressors / generators..... but they sure ain't cheap.



Good for Dump Bed ..... what else ?



Guess ya could hook up a snowblower, if somebody makes one.



I get the feeling that they are mainly used by utilities and road crew etc.



Probably not cost effective for ole Joe the rancher.



Interested in hearing from anyone that uses them... . and for what.

mine is used for hydraulics... ie dump bed and i plan on running a wetline to the rear with a return for a hydraulic winch on a trailer etc. . I haven't hooked mine up yet as i need to finish the G56 swap . . but my setup is for a G56 in a 3rd gen... Chelsea makes the PTO for both the G56 and Aisin etc

Sounds like a good idea for the trailer.

Why is a hydraulic winch superior to an electric winch for your purposes ?

I'm not familiar with the pros and cons of each type.



I'll try to find something on Chelsea too.



Thinking that when I get that 4500 -

I might as well get the PTO setup and find some creative ways to use it.

That was why I was asking... ... . doing lots of homework before I buy.
