2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Cab light template?

Anybody out there got a template for the cab clearance lights on a 01. Mopar never sold the kit for the 99-01, but I found a good used set on E-bay.

I could try to eyeball it, but would rather not. If somebody has a cab they could make a template off of, I could send them a little green for the effort?

I was told the dealership had these and gave them away at little or no cost.

At least in my 98, if you remove the headliner, there are holes already in the roof support (I guess that's what it's called). I just marked the center and then drilled up through the roof. It may not be as precise as a template, but I've done on this on 2 trucks, and both times it turned out great.

Mopar did sell a clearance light kit for the 99-01 truck... I bought one for my old 99 and it came with a template. If your parts guy told you that, he's wrong. Call around to different dealerships or look on the net... . they're out there.

Thanks! I feel a lot better about the install now. The link to the install had some great reference photos. He ran into the same problem I had. The clearance light kit mopar currently offers is for 94-01 and had the 94-98 lights instead of the 99-01 lights. They may have offered the correct kit in the past, but after checking with three trusted dealerships it is no longer offered.
