Well I finally replaced my cab lights after one of the bulbs burned out. I purchased a set of clear Recon lights. My question. When I removed the cab lights I had to black wires. One of the black wires had a thin white line running down the wire so I assumed that was the ground wire. The other wire was solid black which I assumed was the hot. Anyway alot of assuming but I hope I was correct in my assumptions. I also put a dab of RTV Silcone down the screw holes which I hope will eliminate and leakage issue. I look forward to any help you can give me.

The manual shows the 12 volt side to be a black/yellow wire and a black wire on the ground side. Shouldn't be a problem unless your new lights have an internal ground.

It sounds like I connected it incorrectly. Funny thing, when I was wiring the lights I reversed the wires (easy when you have only two wires) and the bulb still lit up. I am not sure what you mean by an internal ground. Do I need to rewire? Thanks

you wouldn't happen to have the original lenses layin around you might want to get rid of would ya, I bought an overhead console and it came with factory cab light harness, I need lenses, screws and gaskets, I would love to get some without payin what dealer wants for the whole kit that includes a lot of things i don't need.
