In Jan of 04 they replaced 3 lights that had cracks in them and one over sun visor was letting water leak in other two might of been leaking in to but rest of headliner was dry. Had water leaking in over sun visor again light cracked again and looked at rest of them and three more are cracked. They ordered some more and are suppose to replace the cracked ones again. They told me about an 06 that they had a water leak on from the lights about a week ago. You would think something as simple as this they would be able to get it together.

Yeah i had a leak on the driver side last week , snugged up all lights then had a leak on pass side yesterday. Guess i will have to pull off all lenses and check for leaks. What a pain in the *****> :)

I have cab light on mine. No leaks (yet. ) What about a preemptive stike by pulling the lights up and putting a bunch of silicone or RTV where the wires go though the sheet metal to try to keep water from leaking into the cab?

RTV fixed mine, however DO NOT over tighten them. The screws are just there to hold the light on the truck, not to seal out water. I know because all mine are cracked because of this but they don't leak.

Thats what I think I will do to mine after they replace them again. I am getting tired of this.

After I gooped mine up with silicone they have not leaked since. However there is a fresh tube of the stuff in my door pocket, just in case!!

Mine leaked once last summer, but I haven't driven in rain since then, so have not taken it in to get it fixed yet.

I've been following this thread and am curious to know how 'yall do the cab roof when (if) washing the truck? Its a broad expanse to reach effectively and prone to flex. I've used a long handled mop; Hand washing means standin' on the tool box and leanin' waay over. . the roof top moves alot... maybe the clearance light's seal suffers. Just a thought.

Same problem with a leaking cab light. Living here in the Pacific Northwest you can imagine what has happened with the leak. (Plenty of drips inside the cab) Since my truck isn't a daily driver and it's parked under cover, it hasn't been a big deal so far. I thought about taking it to the dealer to have them fix it, but it's a pain trying to find time to take it down. I like the idea of the silicone sealer and just wanted to thank you guys for the idea!

Where does the water show ?

I have had a problem with mine, after sitting in the driveway in rainstorms that the windshield would get condensation all over the inside. I would put a light bulb in and barely crack the back windows (ventshades cover) to try to dry it out. Never noticed any damp carpet or headliner, but... . next rainstorm, condensation again... Where does it pool up if the lights leak ?

It's not just my truck? I had mine leak about two weeks after taking delivery. I snugged the screws up and crossed my fingers. No problems until about two weeks ago. I checked the screws... still tight. Maybe I cracked mine. I'll try the RTV thing. I haven't had any wet spots on the headliner. It just drips from the visor clips.

Mine leaked on the passenger side, dealer tried the silicone trick and it leaked worse. They ordered 5 new ones and (crossing my fingers) no more leaks :) this occured 10-2004 and still no leaks, hope this helps those with the problem.

I had mine serviced under warranty about a month ago. I had excessive condensation in the lamps in three out of the five since new in Feb. '05. I thought it was normal until I read a thread or two regarding leaks on here. I didnt have a leak inside the cab, but figured if there is condensation, there is a possiblity of it getting into the cab eventually. I mentioned to the service writer that I had heard about a possible TSB for this. You guessed it, I read about it on here. I can vouch for the appearance difference. The old seal was completely underneath the lense (i. e. amber lense contacted the painted surface. ). The new seal is under the lamp and also wraps up around the exterior of the lense. About an 3/16h of an inch I think. Yeah the lense touching the paint looks much cleaner, but you hardly notice it. Wish I had some pics to post. I think the '06's are still arriving on the lot with the old style or flush look seals. I have not had any condensation since.

I am out of warranty on my 2003 does anybody know how much these lights cost for the new style or have a link to a better than local dealer price?

Also the guys who have siliconed there lights are they still not leaking or should I be looking for a Marine grade sealant?

I was getting some other stuff at the dealer today and asked the parts guy to lookup the prices, the Marker Lamps list for $15. 95 each and the plastic nuts list for $3. 35 each.
