I took apart my cowling trying to determine the inlet to the cab interior and found the screened opening on the passenger side. It was clean but it is clear that the Genos kit only covers the inlet from the cowling at the hood. Given that water runs out from this area doesn't dust therefore have the ability to come up from underneath the truck? When our roads get dry here in Nevada we have huge silt beds that when you hit them at speed results in an explosion of dust and I believe I am getting dust in the cab from that source. I try to run the AC to pressurize the cab but I still get dust when the AC is off (Fall and Winter). Has anyone found a way to use oiled foam over the screened opening to try to cut down on the dust?
Would be interested in this as well. So you're saying the Genos kit does not solve this issue? I've been meaning to get around to this. Got any pics of your cowl teardown?
I had the Geno’s kit on my 05. After 1 warranty replacement and the 2nd one breaking on the first drive I returned it. I was not impressed with the quality of it.
Geez they break that easily? I wouldn't think it to even be much of a wear item.
