PTO cable for high idle

I used a pto cable from AW direct. Ran it to IP and back into cab through cigarette lighter hole (non smoker)(1998 dash) Works great. Give it 3 turns and crank, idles at 1000 rpm when cold. Also works for cruise control in VERY light traffic and is mechanical so fairly idiot proof.

Just for clarification...



Did you get a manual throttle cable (for high idle) or a PTO cable?

It is a PTO cable I use for High Idle. You turn it counter clockwise to up the idle. Also has large button in the center to push to return to zero.

What you used sounds like a throttle cable that is used to crank up the RPM of the engine for when you have the PTO engaged:

My first one was like the one in the lower picture, but the knob started turn where it was attached, so it was worthless. Switched to one with a T- handle.
