No, I'm not drunk, I meant to type that. ;)

The other day I removed my X-intake that uses a PG7 and replaced it with the stock box modded with 4" dryer hose routed just behind the bumper. So far, with no trailer behind my intake temp reading off the Attitude it about 15* less than it was with the PG7. Usually the temp is just a couple degrees warmer than the overhead readout. Boost at 55-60mph sits right around 3-4psi, before it was 5-6psi.

Is what I'm seeing real? Haven't had a chance to tow yet so I don't know what will happen with my EGT's, but so far I'm happy.

I drove it a little more today. the intake temp will stay down with normal easy driving, but once it heats up, it up to stay. Instead of a couple degrees warmer, it was running 10-15* higher than the overhead. At 55 the boost is really low, but I didn't leave it there for long today.

I tried the stock airbox with an Amsoil nanofiber dropin and the PSM intake modification which is basically a 4" dryer hose and the IAT's were no different than the Volant I had previously or the aFe Stage 1 I have now. The airflow was dramatically worse as evidenced by lots more smoke. EGT's were also worse with the stock airbox/PSM/nanofiber/Cool Hose combo.

I returned from Colorado last Wednesday towing my Jeep in a trailer. Maybe 6K total weight.

When going up 115 out of Colorado Springs, I maintained speed limit and never went past 1200-1250 degrees pre-turbo (ISSPRO gauges).

I have the "Cool Hose, Nanofiber and homemade dryer hose intake with Stock airbox".

I was happy. MPG was around 11mpg from Cumming, Iowa to Buena Vista, CO via I-70 Kansas, Colorado 24 and Colorado 50 and 285 from Poncha Springs to Buena Vista.

Return trip was a little better. Downhill. :)

Just got done hauling today. No change from the X-intake. As I mentioned above, once it heats up it stays up. Only change is on short trips driving too nice.
