Hdh ....

Strick 9,

I heard the guys from Suncoast took 1st and 2nd. Man I can't wait to see these numbers. :) I think there were 50 trucks that were dynoed yesterday.

Dennis

My truck made 217Hp@70mph and 1912ft/lbs of torque@29Mph I was a little dissappointed but I do have an auto, 4x4 which soaks up alot of power. They are supposed to be posting all the numbers at the new web site:URL=http://www.dieseltruckperformance.com]www.dieseltruckperformance.com[/URL]

The Suncoast Ford made 428Hp and 2800+ft/lbs very strong truck with lots of NOS! The Dodge on Propane made 376Hp don't know the torque figure.

That's ALL!!!

Where's all the power from the lower US states? Our buddies up north are making 500-600 hp. We are going to have to work a little harder to catch up. :)

I'm shocked that a Dodge on propane made only 376 HP and won second place.

Now I'm really upset. I really wish my truck was together so I could have made that event.

Maybe next year I can make it!

-Chris

Geesh, I could have gotten to 400 without propane.

Something must have been wrong. That cajun fella that helped put it all together would have beatin the tar out of a 428 the ford did. .

Don M,

Looks like you should have made arrangements to go to the Dyno Day you would have done well, but you didn't:D. Congradulations to all the people that did go and especially Gerhardt Diesel for putting on this FREE event.

Dennis

I was there but only made 337 Hp and the turbo went to pieces I should have made more but the turbo coudnt handle the rest of the mods. There is a good side, I won the King Kooker grill. Thanks Gerhardt,s

You must have ran early I did not see that happen, but I got there late around 10am. Which truck was yours? I won a K&N filter!

Cajun, sorry to hear about your troubles, with all the work you got in that truck, you would have smoked the rest of the field no doubt.

Put her back together and try again.

Which turbo went Kaboom? Just curious is all.

Katdiesel it was an HX 35 with a 12 cm housing, 2nd one in 2 weeks but the 1st did no damage, now I have pieces of turbine in the engine . I knew I was flirting with disaster.

Bitten by a bug

The bombing bug that is. My truck ran 225hp@74mph. Whimppy numbers ,I know. Not bad I thought for just a TST #6. Emailing Piers now. Torque numbers were way off all day. Of the trucks that were drug free,the Dodges ran away with it easily. Arround 350 hp somewhere. Next time the ferds and maxipads will be really blown away. I am sure of it. Give the cajuncummin an A for effort. Gave it all he had and more. The strokers owner that took 2nd in the ferd division was convinced. If youre after power,get a Dodge/Cummins. Everybody here knows that. ;)

Torque #'s??????????????

Ok,,I give why the outrageous torque readings on the Mustang ????????,,I'm not disputing the HP numbers,but the torque is way out of wack to say the least,,2800ft lbs is like a Mitchell killing machine and we all know that when it comes to HP and Torque there is NO Phord and I mean NO Phord going to put numbers out like Mitchell's Dodge or even think of coming close to it,,Come on gang,now do you really expect us to believe that a 217 hp Dodge can put 1912 ft lbs on the rear wheels??,,If that was the case one would only wonder what "Old Sickly" at 609 hp would generate,,I'd only have to wonder who did the auto transmission to hold such a torque number and where a guy could get a clutch to hold at 2800 ft lbs,,Come on guys,give us some real numbers or at least realisitic torque readings,sheesh... ... .

At BD Dyno Days they didn't hook up the sensor for the crank rpm's (saved time and got more trucks dynoed).

I think the numbers you are quoting for torque are actually the RPM that you achieved your maximum torque. You will have to use the following formula to get your actual torque numbers;

(5250 x HP)/RPM's = Torque

Example;

If I were to use jgram35's, 217HP and 1912 RPM's the formula would be as follows;

(5250 x 217)/1912 = 595. 85 ft/lbs of torque.

The Suncoast Ford would be as follows;

(5250 x 428)/2800 = 802. 5 ft/lbs of torque

The "White Obsession" (with no drugs) at BD Dyno Days formula is;

(5250 x 427)/2299. 6 =974. 85 ft/lbs of torque.

Hope this helps.

Those figure did not make any sense to me either I was hoping some one would explain them to me. But that is what the sheet said 1912. 4 ft/lbs @ 29. 0 Miles per hour. 217. 1 hp @ 70 miles per hour???:confused:
