My a/c was acting up, turn the fan on high and hardly any air flow out the vents. The defrost worked fine. I figured I had the blend door problem that everyone talks about. My evaporator was freezing up also do to the lack of air flow accross it. I was gonna tear the dash apart myself and ran out of time, I decided to take it to the dealer and cough up the $1000 it would cost to fix which ever door was failed. The dealer called me back an hour later and said it was fixed. They told me they performed a calibration on all of the HVAC door motors. I thought they were full of it, but the a/c air flow has been working like new ever since. They said they do this quite often on the

3rd gens. Has anyone else had this done?? Im not complaining though it only cost me $89, cheaper than $1000.

My door behind the glove box broke and gave me the same symptons that yours did. I removed the blower motor and was able to pull the broken door out the hole left by the motor. The AC works great again, but I am unable to use the recylce button since I have no door there.
