The Minneapolis paper has an article that CA. and Oregon require a bitter tasting additive because of ethylene glycol tasting sweet and the hazard to children and animals. They give statistics that 4000 children and 90,000 animals lap up the antifreeze every year. I know about the hazard, but never heard of this requirement for adding the bitter tasting additive, or even being available?

Anybody heard of this?

If you use "Propylene Glycol" Antifreeze instead of ethylene Glycol Antifreeze, it is very safe around kids and animals, as it is not toxic, and it is biodegradable.
