Jim, I usally go Rt 80 the north way, never went the south way, any advantages you are aware of?

Ian, I will do it three days, and few thousand bucks in Diesel, we are at $3. 35 a gallon here now. I was real close to canceling just because the cost of fuel.

Scott no reason to go south unless you want to drive a lot more and spend a lot more---sure wish I could go either by taggin' along with you or takin' the truck, but work is sucking donuts and I'm lucky to be going outside these days... . chris

Fuel costs are much cheaper in the midwest, especially, OK. The Flying-J in OKC was $2. 65. 9/gal.

I have a 115 gal. aux. tank & always try to arrive in OKC on empty. That way, I can fill-up with the cheap stuff.

Sure do wish I was going, this year. I went in '04, the last year in Muncie, IN. It was a great time!!!

The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza, in Terra Haute, IN. (latter part of Aug. ) is a great time, also. Indiana seems to be the "Center of The Universe" as far as large diesel activities go. I've been to CA, CO, & NV events, which, are very good but, IN draws huge crowds & is a lot of fun.

Wish I was there!!!
