No doubt he outweighs me, my weight with just me and 1/4 tank of fuel is 6500lbs. That day with John, the toolbox, the rest of our junk and full of fuel I have no doubt we were at least 7000 to 7200lbs.
I don't think I ever turned the box up past Level II if I recall correctly?
Merrick i don't remember the exact times but I think you were mid 9's in the 1/8th by the end of the night. And yes I hate lag.....Although if I make it to dyno day I'm gonna put on the bigger exhaust housing to see if it will help out on the dyno regarding the peak power being off its range.

The auto transmission confounds me, I bought my 99 with the 5 speed, I just had it rebuilt 981. 00 parts and labor, it had 160k miles on it and the 3rd gear syncro went out. I am on my 3rd clutch, but the stock clutch lasted 60k miles, and the second clutch lasted 90-95k, I forget the exact mileage of install and destruction (I blew the center up out, and believe that to be the results of the pilot bearing disentegrating on me). 100k of those miles have been run with DDIII's and the TTPM on #3 setting. With this setup, I pulled trailers sometimes weighing in at 30k lbs during hay season, not quite sure how much my tractor weighed, but it's a 4010 industrial with a frontend loader..... not light by any means... .
What I can't understand is why even buy an auto? To pull heavy you have to invest serious money in them, to modify the engine you have to invest serious money in them, the only advantage you get is in drag racing.
