I see a Coast Guard 130 sitting on the ramp at Elmendorf at least once a week. That rig should fit fine in the cargo bay. I don’t see what the problem is. :-laf

Oh yeah, almost forgot. I JUST LOST 5TH GEAR!!!!!! 50k on a 3 year old "rebuilt" trans and it dumped the 5th gear last week. I have to tear into and see if it actually has the upgraded stuff that Standard transmission and Gear was supposed to put in it. If not, I'm fire one right up the tookus (sorry, I've had these kicked back cause of my bad language). It did look damn clean when I got it, like, never been under a truck clean. Like, NOS (new old stock) clean and never got the upgrades. But, it's also likely that I tried towing 21klbs this summer in 5th gear too much and lugged it right off the shaft.



At any rate, anyone have a good 6spd laying around?!

I was going to start a new thread, but since everyone is already subscribed to this one, I figured I would stick it here.



I didn't notice this earlier, but all three of Northern Diesel Performance's "Truck Nights" at the Palmer drag strip are on Saturdays this year. The first one is this weekend. Gates open at 2pm, time trials (T&T) 3 to 5, bracket racing starts at 6pm. Anyone planning on going? Need at least 4 diesels to have a diesel class, however the Ford boys are planning on coming out in force, so I don't see that being an issue.

I will be out there, but will probably just drive the Fummins and watch. I really don't want to tear up the transmission on the 05 to much and if I brng it I will.

Since it sounds like you guys are all tearing it up at the track, I figured someone might need some parts. I fixed the trans problem ($5 snap ring on the sub shaft in the tailhousing) and while I was at it, disected the HT3B turbo and replumbed with just the USB. I don't think it was ever really lit off driving around the island. Plus, the USB is too big to hang a compound system on (unless you're trying to make 800 hp). I couldn't get them to play well together. If I do it again, I'll get a set of blowers tuned for one another. So, I know this isn't the forum to sell stuff, but if anyone wants a great deal on some Twins parts, I'll send you a list of everything I have. Good luck at the track this season, I'll see you guys next summer.

Cool..... at least I won't be by myself. I don't plan to run real hard either. Doesn't take much to run the Fords down. :-laf I'll probably do an easy 13. 5 dial-in and just try to get a trophy out of the bracket racing…. . if it doesn’t rain.

What's up fella's? I'd love to be there but I'm in KY right now and will be heading to IRP on Friday. :-laf. Hope to have some good video of some of the heavy hitters in the sled pull and drags. I may even try a 25+ psi launch since the transmission is now complete with new internal bling.

I did manage to get deep into the 12's last weekend on #2 only with my 315's on. How deep I won't say just yet. With a little tweaking and my racing tires on, can you say 11's?

I finally put some flares on (Warn) and it don't look to shabby, really sets the soft topper off IMHO. I'll send some pics of IRP hopefully on Monday.



There will be no pulling with the auto transmission I tell ya.
