calling all retrofit gurus!!

got an idea just need a little help deciding whether or not its worth messing with or worth going ahead.

I know where I can pick up an 96 C6500 regular cab kodiac for a cheap, cheap, cheap, price. I know that it is a gas burner with a5+2 or 6 speed transmission. I have a 93 cummins. What would be involved or would it be worth while to put the cummins into this truck? I know that I can go and purchase a used 6500 series truck with the cat diesel already in it and ready to go but I have this swap in my head and want your opinion

My thoughts pass on a Kodiak. The cabs like to shake apart. They ride rough to say the least. Spring ride suspension. There is no resale.



If I needed a tractor that size. I would pickup a used older model OTW tractor. Drop one axle out and shorten the chassis if I needed to. It would have a bigger engine. Better trans setup. Better set of gears. Air ride to boot.





Use the 93 Cummins for something that would be more deserving.
