Ok enough is enough, this practice of having people involved with EDGE marketing telling everyone that the WEASEL is the quickest diesel truck, and has run some faster time then our truck is getting old, and I have heard it from several sources now. The little lie is nothing more then. It’s the old propaganda trick, tell a lie, and act like it’s a secret, tell it often enough and soon people will believe it. That the truck has run an 8. 16 and its secret and you will not release the time until it runs a 7’.



I know what it weighs 3900 + lbs, the power it would take to move a truck that weight that fast is not available. I hear from many sources , almost every detail about the truck , I know I’ll get blasted for this if it even stays on this board, but I’m tied of the Operatives planting the little lies, trying to spread innuendos that it’s faster then our little truck, that it made a secret pass

Good call COMP, i really never have had a problem with you or any of your posts really. I think its great that it will be finally put to rest, although there will still be people that will bash your posts and your personality. I think its great what youre doing to further diesel performance, regardless of what people think of you backing sponsors and whatnot. Ive heard nothing but good things about you from the people ive talked to that REALLY know who you are. I hope you lay that edge truck to waste personally, just because of all the hype surrounding it, and all the people that have told you to put up or shut up.

If the Edge truck is in fact faster, will you shut up and go away, or will you come up with a myriad of excuses as to why you are slower?
 
I have my money on comp's truck maybe we could see this happen in Indy this year I will bet that edge won't take the challenge comp has tried numerous time's to set up a race with no results yet just my thoughts ?!?!?!
 
I have to say, I have my money on Comp also. You never hear anything about the Edge truck. Every body told Comp to show proof, he has, but they still will only believe what they want to.
 
I have 60' 1. 18 with a 5. 22 1/8





and the best they have 60' acording to their own site is 1. 32. the magazines will inflate the stats to sell. like 6 second diesel truck

Well depending upon the top-end tuning of the EDGE truck, I still think this is a toss up...



COMP - I notice you run a p-pumped truck, EDGE runs an 04 engine, BUT it is a p-pumped engine too, right?

i would have to lay my money with comps truck too. just for the fact that the edge truck is way overblown, its a no expense spared toy. comps truck has in fact proven itself, and teh edge truck gets nothing but "it wills" in magazines. it will be a 6 sec truck, it will be the fastest ever and so on and so on. to my readings the best time was 11sec, but that was a while ago. they keep everything a secret and comp will spill his guts about his truck. comps team has reached a awsome feat, but everyone still bashes him for making it known. if i had a 8 sec truck you bet your ***** i would gloat about it, is there anyone else close to that here?? i would feel great to even set in the truck. but it is still a race i would love to see, at indy. but as usual the loser will make a excuse why they lost wether it be comp or edge. i say do three runs and best 2 take the gold, 3 for 3 would show the true champ. edge is a big magizine advertiser so naturaly the mags will make it look good, if comps team was to put that much money into a mag he would probably be talked up too, not to mention i like the mopar colors on the truck.

Comp, don't stop. Keep up the dialogue. This is a race I'd pay to see. Come on Keith, put it on the track. The group is waiting. :)
 
Actually the better race would be if the 2 trucks used the electronics the new Cummins engine have .

With Edge being big into electronics and Docs Predator series the results would be a lot more beneficial to the normal trucks :D
 
I am sure the NHRA would gladly lets us match race an any one of a dozen National events . this would be in front of big crowds , with media ,and national TV coverage . the officials at NHRA are very excited about the future of diesel motorsports . with the birth of a NHRA member sanction organization the NHRDA now , we can expect more of this . Don’t get me wrong , I do have great respect for who ever assembled the EDGE truck, the truck looks great , wished my truck was that pretty , but when you race a truck it gets battle damage , and chipped paint, I kind of feel like it earned every little blemish. My beef is with their marketing department , and the attempt to steamroll the media and bully the media in to presenting them with the be all to end all greatest diesel truck. Remember once a magazine is published , its forever, and ten or twenty years from now that is all that is remembered . it is amazing what advertising dollars get printed . while we are at it have Scott Bentz race Eric at that same race. Now that would really present diesel motor sports to the world in a amazing way. I’m sure that even more money would be raised for charity. I do a lot of charity events and motivational speaking displays with my racing , and there is nothing like the feeling you get at these events

I have been working on a CR motor and hope as soon as Dr. performances new electronics is ready ,to switch over the end of this year , I feel very excited about the future of running this truck in a super category , with a dead on repeatable diesel power . the diesel will be the scourge of bracket racing in a chassis car or truck ,with around 700 electronic hp. The diesels ability to repeat with a dead on dial and to not change with density altitude changes is going to be a force to be reckoned with in NHRA super category. I know Scotts dragster in super comp would be a killer combination with a CR motor .
