I have a 02 24v been thinking about a Cam. . my power level is pushing 500hp and i am thinking of !!TWINS!! have a KSB1B now i like it but EGTs are 1600 time to upgrade or waste gate?

PDR is about half the price of a DD cam.



PDR is about 25% of the performance, but, the DD cam has better overall construction.



If you are thinking abou tit, you are going to end up doing it anyway, and at 500HP, you'll see a better behaved turbo, better MPG, and you'll have more EGT space to add fuel :D

Cam it. Your egt's will drop. And you'll be making all that H. P. and Torque 400 rpm sooner. At your level it would be a big plus.
 
Hey all you big HP guys. After installing my cam, mach 5's and twins I now have a jerking back and forth when the TC locks up and I try to drive at a steady speeds (45-50mph-1300-1450 rpm). It feels as if you are driving a stick and you forgot to put the clutch in as you stop. Its driving me up a wall and I can't figure out whats causing it.
 
Bill, I had the same thing when I put the big EDM's in my truck. I was told it was injector surge. I thought my trans. was going on me. All it took was an injector swap and I was good to go!
 
I don't know what size EDM's they were. I've been trying alot of different combo's the last month or so. I was told they were a little bigger than step 8's. way too much for my set up. I went back to my BD III's and the truck is fine.



This week I put in another set of smaller EDM's the problem is my VP-44 is on the way out. three quarter throttle and the truck gets violent. So I can't really say much about them until I get another pump.



But With the big ones in when I went from third into over drive at 45-50 mph the truck shuddered real bad. It was the injectors.
 
Bill, call Bill at DTT and he will tell you your problem. Just tell him exactly what you posted here. 1350-1400RPM! You should be down a gear.
 
Keith I have ATS's controller in the truck. I only turn it on when I drag race as it does not let truck downshift after it locks up. You have to select OD off for it to unlock.

Please don't compare your 12v cam with a 24v cam. (Basing this on your profile).





Yes I would cam it. It does make a difference.
