Wrong grind for the fuel and air of a 1st gen. We did our research when testing for a cam for the 1st gens and thats what we found. If you need a 1st gen cam we have one on the shelf. It has a PDR grind to it. :D

question

Mark, that answer brings a question from me please, if a person was to use a 96 215hp cam in a 92 160hp engine with all the p7100 stuff, would the head design and air flow in the combustion chamber benefit from the 96 cam and pump? Thanks.

Tim

Yes, it will help. The difference is slightly lower flowing head and different piston design between a 1st gen 160hp and 2nd gen 215hp engine.

Small differences only.
