Some years ago I used the blow up one which was not satisfactory. If I had to chose I would go for the designed pass thru that snaps in and seals. I may be outdated on this as it has been a few years. Most of the puffy, stuffy, blowup kind will work loose and rub paint off.

I too had looked for the snap in type that I had seen years before, but most offered only the wedge-in style or blowup type. One of the speciality truck shops said they could order one of the leather snap in style, but I didn't pursue it, as I needed one ASAP. You might try one of them if you haven't already.

A company called OWG used to make systems that would attach to the opening of the sliding windows with a pinch seal accordion boot. I don't know if they are still around. They would flex but stay in place at hywy speeds.

I have been messing around with a seal idea. I just need to seal while stopped so the dogs have a way to get up front and I can leave the windows open but sealed. I took some nylon fabric and sewed it into a tube with one end open. Then I stuffed it with foam chunks and sealed the end. The ends have some velcro on them to connect them. Now I can just open the windows and form a donut around them. Quick and easy and seals drafts well.
