Camper shell spoilers

Mines got a camper shell on it and the back window and tailgate are always dirty... road dust. I have seen those spoilers on shells that are supposedly to keep the back clean and break the "vacuum" for less drag, more MPG.



Do these things work and if so where could I find one?

As I was typing, the ones I've seen are always incorporated into the shape of the roof, not add ons. Maybe a nice chrome or brushed aluminum deflector from an early 70's station wagon would do it but I couldn't make that kind of appearance sacrifice.
