Truck Camper Connection?

How much weight is in my truck? Take a guess! (-:

Spring better hurry up and get here. I caught my wife roasting mini marsh mellows over a candle the other day. I just laughed at her.

I agree, camping season is just around the corner and my wife and I can't wait. We are planning a trip down to KY in April to visit the Shaker village down there, then and will be camping.

We run our out every month. Itmay only be to the top of the hill but it is still out. We shoot up to Santa Fe once in a while to make it feel like we went some ware. Monzano State Park on a regular basis, no water feature, no skiing, no offroading, just 8500 feet and trees.

Pancho Villa in Columbus New Mexico is a great place. Unfortunatly We spend the 4th of July at Elephant Butte State Park but it is for work (Commercial Fireworks displays), Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in October for the 10 days of it for the same reason. I am looking forward to going to the Valley of Fire near Carrizozo, NM in the spring. End of March for the Rio Rancho Pork and Brew BBQ contest, we'll be cooking for 4 straight days. Maybe another trip to Durango or Pagosa later in the year.

Periodic balloon rallies around the state when we can get away.

Go into the barn every weekend and just stare at the Lance waiting patiently for April or May, whenever it stops snowing. :-laf

Itching to get up to the lake where our rig is at,-30c this weekend and over -40c with the wind chill,i think i"ll pass for a few more months, but come this April it where i"m at every chance i get. Hope to get a bunk house/cabin built sometime soon so i can winter camp with a little wood stove and not have to heat the RV until spring. Great ice fishing this time of year as well as snow mobile/quading. DW

Jusy put the finishing coat of urethane on a new maple table for the Alpenlite. I hope for a break in the weather so I can partially remove the cover and install it and then get the 5er ready as it gets warmer. Plan for the first trip in April then leave in May for a coast to coaster. Oo.

It is actually the "offical" proclomated by the Gov. State question. I think NM is the only state that has one.

"Red or Green?"

Mine is Green

I believe we're drifting away from the topic, but mine is red.

New Mexico is a great state for camping. We have water. Well, some water. We have desert, (White Sands) and a over abundance of mountains and streams.

When you go out to eat at a New Mexican Restaurant (it's not just Mexican, it's New Mexican) you are asked what chile you want, red or green. It's not just the color of the chile, it's a very different taste. You can also get it in mild, medium or hot.

May Madness will be our first outing. . Just made a new Entertainment center and TV mount. . need to finish stain and urathane... will picture it when done... Mounted Over the entry door is a 32" flat panel TV hooked to component receiver and DVD player. 5. 1 surround... . have Dish Network portable satelite... now that's roughing it Easy!

We are going to the Ca. Redwoods and then up the Washington state and in early August, going to see Gacier Nat. Park... never been there... . inbetween all this is trips to Moab, the desert, and other fun places.

Am putting the camper on the truck and heading out the 14th of march for a couple of weeks fishing at Toledo Bend. I do this every year. Bring back a freezer full of white perch and bass. The trip is as much fun as the fishing. Do my best to stay off the interstates.

How do you like your Northern Lite? That's the best rated camper in the RV Consumer Guide with 5 stars. Spoke to you this morning about coming through Albuquerque. If you like New Mexican food, I can sure point you to the best places.
