We stayed at Cedar Hill State park a few months back. Very nice and quiet and on a big lake. It's a few miles south of Dallas off route 67.

Also noticed a RV park in Plano on the east side of Route 75, but didn't check it out and don't know the name. Very noisy but convienent perhaps.

Yeah, the State Park on Joe Pool Lake is only about 15 minutes away and easy to get to from the transmission shop where the seminar is going to be held. That's where I'm going to recommend if anyone asks. I should have a hotel in the same general area by the end of the day today. And directions too.

I got the address of the shop - 1602 N. Hwy 67 in Midlothian. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SHOP FOR DIRECTIONS. The owner has been kind enough to let us use it for the weekend (with the help of one of the Dallas TDR members who works there). We don't want to irritate him or make it bad for the guy that worked to get the location. I'll post directions and try to e-mail everyone that has let me know that they're interested.

There is also a campground in Plano off US75. Called Spring Creek RV and Moble home Park. Exit at Spring Creek onto service road East side of road. Office is closed Friday afternoon till Monday morning. Good luck. US 75 is a straight shot into Big D. Also a very nice 5 star park in Grand Prairie, right off I-20 and is an easy ride in Dallas.
