How do i go about removing the camplate, so i can customize it and reinstall it? Is there any speacil tolls or knowledge needed?

Look on Tstproducts. com, I think they have complete instructions there. If not, remove the intake, and the top of the afc housing, you will have to turn the break off screw with a chisel if the top has never been removed. Sometimes the screws can be really tight, so you might need an impact removal tool, but sometimes the screws aren't that tight. I would say you need alot of knowledge if you are gonna grind on the dam thing, not much knowledge is required in removal though, just my opinion. You migth as well just leave it out rather than grind on it, at least until you get an aftermarket plate. Some say there is a great risk involved, and other say it doesn't hurt a thing, I'll tell you I don't think I would ever run without a plate, I have a #5 that has had the top ears ground down so it can be moved forward just a hair more, I wouldn't recommend grinding on the actual curve on the plate. If you Mic it down, it may not be so bad. If I were to grind on a stock plate, I would have an aftermarket right there to Mic and try to make them exactly the same. Just remember, these engines may be big and heavy, but they are built like a Swiss Watch, built with precision, thats why they are as great as they are. Anyway, do what makes you happy man, I just thougth I would lend you my knowledge.

Catch you on the flip side,

Willie

Actually grinding the plate isn't really bad. If you grind it flat, it almost like having a 0 plate (since they are just flat anyways). But make sure you get it really smooth if you do. Just make sure you add a boost control elbow (or block of the waistgate) and an EGT gauge... . that is a must. Have fun. .
