can 94-02 AFE intake work on an '03?

I know that seems like a dumb question, but I've run across a good deal on a 2nd gen AFE intake. Is there any reasonable way to modify that intake to make it work on an '03? I've never messed with an AFE before, so I'm pretty clueless.

i havent heard one being able to fit U can still use the filter but i8 dont think u can use the box but i most likely think u can fab one to fit

No it wont work.

The filter can be used with torque tube setup but you would still need an insert since the 94-02 filter is 4. 5" diameter and the oem and tt are 4" diameter.

Hmm... . Where could I get an insert? I know it would be easier to just but the right filter, but I've found a complete setup for $100 bucks, so I'm trying to figure out if I can make that one work... .

To put it simply the intake is not going to work. The 3rd gen is a totally different truck. What I mean about the filter thing is that you could possibly use it if you were setting up a custom hilljack intake like I use, in that case you could just buy an AFE replacement filter for like 80 bux and build off of it.

The 2nd gen mount is cat vs. dog on a 3rd gen.



But you dont have to take my word for it... .....

Nah, I believe ya. That's why I asked. I was just seeing if there was some way I could feasably save $300 bucks...

Sell the System for $300. and apply the profits to a new AFE system that fits..... you will be ahead in the end.

Beyond what his ad says, I don't know anything about it except its for a 94-02. I wanted to see if I could make it work before I made a move.
