I'm ready for some Twins but unfortunately I live in the wrong part of the country... . does anyone know of a reputable vendor in Socal that can Oring my head, install head studs, and build me some reliable twins? I want them for the street/drag only - I don't tow anything and I live at sea level.

If there is a vendor around here (doubt it), I have a couple questions for those of you that have twins:

1. Do they require constant tuning to dial them in?

2. How reliable are they? Have you blown head gaskets?

This is my daily driver and I don't want to be messing with them... I can't afford to have my truck in the shop all the time especially if it's out of state... I already went throught this once.

Thanks

I'm no help on the shop to do the work, but regarding reliability, I would say that a properly matched set of compounds will be very reliable. Traditionally, both turbos do the work of one, so they last longer than a single would. This is simply because you run both turbos less hard than they would alone.

Headgaskets are a different story. It really depends on how much boost, fuel and other factors that relate to your application. Studs are goos to about 60 psi when they are properly installed. O-ringing and studs= WOW!!

don't reinvent the wheel. Calls Piers (my favorite) or bd talk to the horses mouth. They have great twins and lots of experience. If you hack them together you are going to have the hood up a lot. Other than that hairspray and good transmission. Well worth the money... ... ..... They can and will answer all your questions... Go with something that is proven
