I'm looking to get a molded carpet dashboard cover but have never looked at them. Any recommendations either for or against??

Any reason not to get the carpet one?

We have one in both our trucks. I think they are very worthwhile especially if you spend any time in the sun belt. We got them while we were working in Yuma for the summer, and feel they are worth every penny, and then some. We will probably get them on all our trucks from now on. Ours stick on with velcro tabs, so they are easy to take out to clean or vacuum.

You won't be sorry if you do get one.

I don't know the brand I have, but I know my Dad got it for me in Quartzite AZ at the giant flea market. I think if you pick one out of JC Whitney, Cabela's, ProBass Shop or the like you will be happy. I do not even use the velcrow to hold mine in, it just sits there.

Take a look at Geno's Garage here . My dash cracked and I had a choice to either put on an overlay or a cover. Went with a cover as it was easier been happy with it. It cuts down on the glare and stays in place even though I didn't fasten it down.

Geno's has provided great customer service every time I dealt with them.

dash cover

Ordered a "Dash" design cover from the Dodge agency. This is rug material and fits well and has all the holes open that are in the dash. This is a very good investment in the protection of your dash. Sun is the enemy.

Dash cover

I ordered one from Cabela's, it was a perfect fit, and sure helped keep it cooler inside. All my stuff doesn't go sliding anymore, either, it was money well spent. I believe it was even made in the USA, thank god.
