I have a cracked manifold, it is listed as a 400 dollar part. I looked in my warranty book and the manifold is listed as being covered under the 5/100,000 warranty for the cummins. The local guy service guy is checking for me, but I was just wondering what you guys have experienced. I can't imagine my PacBrake causing this to happen but want all the info before I go argue with the dealer.

Jon, I can't imagine a exhaust brake causing a manifold to crack, just my $0. 02 though. If they refuse to warranty the manifold and you have to replace it yourself, get the 3 piece ATS manifold, it's around $400 and worth it.

I had some problems several years back on cracking manifolds and it was traced to manifold to head bolts being OVER TORQUED. Replaced manifold with bolt torque ion low end of specified range and never had to take it off again:D
